Welcoming Lea Harrison as Executive Director of Shadow Mountain Recovery

Shadow Mountain recovery is proud to announce the appointment of Lea Harrison as the new Executive Director of our leading in-network treatment center for substance use disorder. Lea brings over 15 years of leadership experience in behavioral health and advocacy, making her an instrumental addition to our organization’s commitment to whole-person healing.

About Lea Harrison

Throughout her career, Lea Harrison has consistently demonstrated an unwavering dedication to supporting individuals grappling with mental health and substance misuse challenges. Her appointment to the role of Executive Director follows her remarkable tenure as the Deputy Cabinet Secretary at the New Mexico Department of Health, where she played a pivotal role in overseeing and managing a diverse portfolio of healthcare facilities.

In her new role, Lea is responsible for spearheading the comprehensive continuum of care provided by Shadow Mountain Recovery, including Detox, Residential, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs across our four locations:

  • Santa Fe, New Mexico
  • Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Taos, New Mexico
  • Rio Rancho, New Mexico

Her strategic insights, compassionate leadership, and rich experience contribute to Shadow Mountain’s mission to provide heart-centered healing and recovery.

Lea’s steadfast connection to New Mexico, her home for the past 24 years, is a testament to her long-standing commitment to her community and the people she serves. She is a certified crisis prevention and intervention instructor, dedicated to equipping others with the skills to make a positive impact in challenging situations. Continuously driven to expand her understanding of human dynamics, Lea is also pursuing a degree in organizational psychology, positioning herself to delve even deeper into the intricacies of human behavior and organizational well-being.
